I attended a 3hr workshop with Janet in Denver that was well tailored to the students. We were all novice singers and she provided level-appropriate and yet challenging exercises, visualizations, and play to help us embody our voices and make noticeable change. We even left with individual exercises we could practice at home to improve the quality of our sound, ease of breath, and clarity of presentation. I look forward to working with her again.
Jonny was wonderful! We wanted to add a sax player instead of have Jonny sing vocals and he found someone for us and the two were an amazing duo! He took all of our input and offered to learn a couple new songs and the personalization made it all so special. Jonny always responded to emails within a day and was very enthusiastic about everything which made us feel very encouraged about working with him. I would highly recommend Jonny! THANK YOU!
My children an I adore Jeff as a teacher. Like one of the other posters mentioned, he's easy to have around. He's very polite, punctual, funny, kind, prepared and soft spoken. Without question our children will look back when they are adults and say that Jeff was their favorite teacher, EVER!! It is evident that he looks for and finds the special sparkle in each of his students and helps them bring it out musically. He's a talented singer, pianist, and guitar player. Because he periodically plays or sings along with the children, they feel like they are part of a really cool band and can't wait for their next lesson. He is in demand, yet he makes our children feel like they are his only students because of sweet personality. Jeff has mastered the art of providing the framework to learn while having fun. Our girls practice often because they want to keep playing the lively pieces he teaches them. Jeff's super power is helping students feel great about themselves and excited to learn music. My wish is that we could clone Jeff, and let all students take their first, fifteenth, or last music lessons with him. Vicki
We loved this band for our event! They were professional, organized, and experienced in facilitating all of our events needs. We were on ship in the harbor and the performance was enjoyed by all our guest. The band was a talented group of musicians and singers who enjoy what they do and are extremely fun to watch.
We hired the Michael Benson Band to play at our wedding at Roche Harbor Resort on San Juan Island. Since we were bringing the band all the way over to the island, we decided to put them to work throughout the entire event! Michael and one bandmate performed a guitar/sax duo for our Ceremony, then Michael played some keyboard music for the Cocktail Hour, and then the whole 5-piece band played for our four hour Reception. Michael was an absolute pleasure to work with both before and during the event! They are all excellent musicians and we loved the music throughout the event. Michael did a fantastic job of being the "MC" during the reception and made sure that it kept its flow throughout the night! We would not hesitate to hire them again! Definitely one of the best decisions we made for our wedding night!
Our daughter has taken voice lessons with Aaron for about 3 years and really loves her time in his studio. Aaron has a wonderful ability to connect and has really helped her become the confident singer she is today. Bitterlake Studio is an extremely warm, positive, safe and inspriring environment and Aaron is the most supportive teacher. He is a very talented musician and a passionate and artistic person. His presence puts her at ease with a confidence to explore her strenghts and weaknesses. We are so grateful for Aaron making it a challenging but very fun learning experience for our daughter.
The Rafael Tranquilino Band is one of the most versatile and exciting bands I have ever seen. Rafael's guitar work is inspired and he never ceases to blow me away! He also never plays a song the same way twice. You just never know what he's going to do. He is my favorite guitarist! Leah Tussing's vocals are this very cool combination of jazzy blues that brings a completely new vibe to every song she sings. Love her! They are a dynamic duo with some of the most talented rhythm sections in the PNW. I never miss seeing them when they are in Tacoma.
We have enjoyed seeing and hearing the full band on several occasions and hired a quartet and singer for my husband's 70th birthday with a 1930's theme. They did a wonderful job and Lisa was great to work with. We would thoroughly recommend them.
He is the best guitar teacher! Especially if you are into theory side of the music. I'm a singer with a degree in music, but he still has so much more to teach me. He'll show you the right path to take you to the next level. Also I've seen this guy shred on his acoustic guitar. I'm pretty sure he has more than 2 hands and 10 fingers. By hiring him as a solo guitar player for your event, you will get like a band worth of complete sound.
Heather is an excellent voice coach. I was an out of practice, though trained singer when we met. It had been YEARS since i sang professionally and she whipped me right back into shape! She is great at listening and really getting down to the specifics of what one needs to work on. She also is great at coming up with exercises for her students to do that are specific to their vocal needs. She is patient, though a bit strict. Just the right amount of strictness though that helps keep one motivated!
Jenny is my masterful teacher, wise mentor, and dear friend. Over the years, she has given me many precious gifts: a reliable and confidence-inducing process for audition preparation, a plethora of healthy technique-building tools, true passion for singing, and love for myself through learning to love my own authentic voice. I always feel truly seen by her, both as a performer and human being. Each lesson, she gauges my mental and physical state, and uses this as a springboard to provide the perfect balance of challenge and encouragement. I have grown more than I ever believed possible. After years under her instruction, I confidently call myself a singer. Annika Knapp - Student, University of Washington
These guys rock. They played a party we threw to celebrate our friend's marriage. Working with Adam during the lead up to the event was seamless and easy. Adam was responsive and worked to build a set-list to what we wanted for the party. The quality of music was superb. The lead singer had a great voice, engaged the crowd, and kept the party going all night. The band was fantastic, and the lead guitarist shreds. The dance floor was never empty as the band successfully covered songs from rock n roll to pop to county to blue grass, and satisfied everyone's musical preferences. I would highly recommend this band for any event or wedding. They helped make a great night even better with their talent, skill, and energy.
The show was amazing!!!!! Everyone kids and adults enjoyed Duo Finelli performances, thank you so much for making Benji's party so wonderful
I hired Detour Band for a private party in Everett! They had a lot of energy and I loved how the songs were mixed together. They did a great job at playing music in between their sets and had awesome lighting! I was very satisfied and would definitely hire them again and would recommend them to everyone!! I loved how the singer got out and danced with the crowd in between her sets.. So much energy!! I love Detour!!

We aren't your average duo. We both have performance degrees on our respective instruments from Cornish College of the Arts, and are both very involved in the music scene elsewhere in Seattle. We have strong improvisation background as well as solid playing fundamentals.
