About
At FAF painting we take pride in preparation before painting, we believe preparation before painting is 50% at a minimum and anything less than 2 coats is unacceptable.
after 15 years in the trade I decided to start my company, feeling frustrated with big painting companies giving the client 50% of the work that should be done while the client was giving 100% of the payment, at FAF painting you'll be getting 100% in preparation and painting in exchange for your 100%
I love walking to a place that looked like it had better days and walking out of the same place looking like something entirely different because now it looks beautiful, that's what FAF painting is all about

Fernando did an amazing job for us! He is an action-taker, which I really appreciated. He was very responsive, showed up within hours to give an in-person estimate and started work the next day. All done in one week start-to-finish. His price was in line and competitive with others I received through Thumbtack. He is very experienced, has an eye for detail, helpful suggestions, fun sense of humor, great work ethic, and a top-notch assistant who accompanies him and helps move the project along prepping for him as he efficiently and expertly moves through the process. He kept everything spotlessly clean and we love the outcome. To top it all off, he's fun to have around and he was sweet to our dog. What more can you ask for?! Great work, great price, great guy! We hope to work with Fernando again. Don't hesitate to hire FAF Painting. You'll be glad you chose Fernando to work on your home or business.
Details: Home • 3 rooms • Walls • 8 - 10 feet • Repainting - color change • Fair - minor holes and scratches • No, this is not new construction • No, I will move things out of the way myself

Fernando’s business communication skills, coupled with his crack team of painters really hit the mark for us. Our old house was looking its age and had several structural issues, but FAF Painting really made her shine. It was very apparent that Fernando and his team shared the same philosophy of “fix it, don’t just paint over it”. Every setback was handled with aplomb. Additionally, his price was nearly half what we were quoted by other companies.
Details: Home • One story • Entire building • 1,000 - 1,500 sq ft • Wood • Brick • No, I would like the professional to supply the paint • Cracks

I got quotes on painting our exterior from 6 different companies. FAF painting landed right in the middle of the prices, but I was impressed with the questions Fernando asked and the details he provided, so we went with him.
Fernando and Marvin were super thorough and very communicative. He contacted me whenever there was a question about the painting and he often had good advice (what kind of paint to use, whether to use trim or primary on different parts of the house, etc.). He also had a carpenter he was able to contact and get to do some work on short notice when there was some rot found in some wood. We love the finished product and we haven't found any detail problems that we have found before when we went with the lowest bid (we often find the lowest bid tries to do work fast, but ends up cutting corners that you notice later). Both Fernando and Marvin are super nice and accommodating as well. Highly recommend!
Details: Home • Two stories • Entire building • 2,500 - 3,000 sq ft • Wood • Brick • No visible exterior damage

I had taken back a rental property. I converted back for personal use. The place had screws everywhere. He refinished the walls to new property standard. It was refinished and interior painting of the whole house, about 2000 sf.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm fair with my pricing, I always explain to the costumer precisely how much preparation work the project requires, how long it will take and what kind of materials I'm going to use
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
first thing I do is to take a good look at the property, I ask the costumer what he wants, I inspect for any damage on the wood siding for exteriors to see if I need a carpenter, I assess how much preparation work the property needs, in interiors I look at what condition the walls are in, any water stains on ceilings, do I need to paint an entire room with oil base primer if it was a smoker's room, details like that in general, I let the costumer know what i need to do and what materials I'll use, I also let the costumer choose whichever major brand of paint he would like to use since I have accounts with the 3 major brands, sherwin-williams, Miller paint and Benjamin Moore.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for an old painter for at least 10 years, I've worked for several contractors and I also was part of the painters union
