- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet the student where they are at! I love to understand their short and long-term goals and create a lesson plan to meet those goals. I also firmly believe that it's much easier to learn music when you connect with the music you are learning, so I often use the student's favorite music as a springboard to teach fundamental concepts.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied performance, composition, and music technology at the University of Oregon. I specialize in improvisation and music theory. I've also played music in various groups, and I have experience as a songwriter.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
All Kinds! I've taught music to students of all ages, from 4 to 65. Whether this is your first music lesson, or you've been playing for years, I have something to teach you!
