FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on the **scope, complexity, and quality of work required**. No two projects are the same, so we focus on providing clear, accurate pricing after reviewing the details rather than giving vague numbers upfront. For smaller jobs, pricing may be based on time and materials, while larger projects are typically quoted as a **fixed bid** so you know exactly what to expect. We believe in **full transparency**—you’ll understand what’s included, what materials are needed, and how the work will be completed before anything starts. We don’t believe in cutting corners to be the cheapest option. Our focus is on **doing the job right the first time**, which saves you money and headaches down the road. If additional work is needed due to unforeseen conditions (which can happen once walls are opened or systems are exposed), we always communicate and get approval before moving forward—no surprise charges. From time to time, we may offer flexibility in pricing for **larger bundled projects or repeat customers**, but our priority is always delivering solid, long-lasting results. Bottom line: **fair pricing, clear communication, and workmanship you won’t have to pay to fix later.**
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process is straightforward and built to keep things clear, efficient, and stress-free. It starts with a **conversation**. We take the time to understand what you’re trying to accomplish, what issues need to be addressed, and what your end goal looks like. This helps us make sure we’re solving the right problem—not just doing surface-level work. Next, we schedule a **site visit**. Seeing the project in person allows us to evaluate the space, take measurements, identify potential challenges, and talk through options with you directly. This is where we catch things early that others might miss. After that, we provide a **clear estimate or fixed bid** outlining the scope of work, materials, and timeline so you know exactly what to expect. Once approved, we move into the **build phase**, keeping communication open and the job site organized while the work is completed to our standards. At the end, we do a **final walk through** with you to make sure everything looks right, functions properly, and meets expectations. Simple process: understand it, plan it, build it right.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background comes from **hands-on trade experience and real-world job site training**, which is where the most valuable education in this field happens. I’ve spent years working in construction and remodeling, learning how to properly build, repair, and upgrade homes from the ground up. My experience includes **tile installation, flooring, framing, drywall, finish carpentry, and general handyman work**, along with a strong working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems. That combination allows me to not only complete individual tasks, but understand how everything ties together so the final result is solid, functional, and built to last. I’ve also worked alongside skilled tradesmen and learned proper techniques, installation standards, and problem-solving methods that go beyond basic work. A big part of my training has come from **diagnosing real issues in real homes**—not just following plans, but adapting when conditions aren’t perfect. This is a trade where experience matters. Over time, that experience has turned into a skill set focused on **precision, durability, and doing the job right the first time**, which is what I bring to every project through Dives Home Solutions.
