- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is simple. You only pay for the time and materials we use to complete your to do list. Our Fixers come prepared with most common tools + materials needed to complete your job. $159/hr for labor (pro-rated to the nearest minute) Standard Materials* - pay only for what we use We will give you an instant ballpark estimate that our Fixer will confirm with you when he/she arrives before starting work. *For specific materials required to complete project, your Fixer will review what is needed with you and go shopping for the right items, returning immediately to finish the job.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Fixer is a whole new handyman experience - Merging old fashioned values, friendly service and modern technology. You can book your Fixer here on Thumbtack or head to our website where you can see our scheduled and pick the exact day/time you need. Our friendly concierge will contact you immediately to confirm and answer any questions (you can even live chat us on our site!)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Fixer is a licensed, bonded and insured General Contractor service. Our Fixers are experts in a variety of areas including plumbing, electric, carpentry, drywall, painting, assembly, and installation. The Fixer team is dedicated to continuous training and skill-building so we are always up to date and ready for any project. Fixer is also dedicated to the community we serve - launching a training center to promote sustainable careers in the home repair industry for men and women. We are dedicated to progressive and professional education for our students and employees.
