My wife and I have 13 children and 25 grandchildren. At the age of 49 and 53, our income was cut off by things beyond our control (COVID19). My wife and I found ourselves burning through savings and any and all other resources available to us. Much like the rest of the civilized world.
Once we got the word to go back to work as essential workers we did, I ended up back on my couch due to a union trade strike. Leaving my lovely and very supportive wife to be the bread winner in our home.
For obvious reasons, this did not hold well with me. So, with the help of my “Office Manager” wife, we have decided to embark on this journey to:

Christopher Davis with HBD Home Maintenance is a great find. I needed someone flexible and skilled in carpentry to build a custom clothing closet structure into a small utility closet. The room had few and oddly placed studs so it required some fancy footwork to make the closet structure sturdy enough to hold a lot of clothes. Christopher was definitely up to the task, did a great job, and charged a very reasonable fee. He's very professional, reliable, and friendly. I have a lot more work lined up for him!

I have 15 years working as a carpenter. I have worked both residential and commercial.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Well after my first divorce, and the dot com crash in the early 2000’s I was forced to leave the retail scene, ( I spent 13 years as a general manager for Bakers, Aldo, and Bellvue Macys, and Pay less shoes before they went out of business) I was forced to put my tool belt back on after leaving the construction industry in late 1998. So after the crash I became a single dad and needed to make more money and maximize my time. Construction offered me that. High pay and hour for my 40 hours a week. Here I am some years later, now doing it for my self.
