Introduction: I offer Pilates training from my home studio in Northwest Seattle or at Zum Fitness in Downtown Seattle. My education started in community health education and public health. As part of my education, I learned to assess the needs of each client or community to determine what strategies will help make them become healthier. There is no "one size fits all" approach to being healthy. Unlike typical fad diets, boot camps or rigid and vigorous physical training programs my approach is to find enjoyment in exercise and healthy eating and make it easy and be sustainable for every type of lifestyle. Our culture as a whole struggles with getting regular movement, having a healthy relationship with food, getting adequate sleep and managing the constant stressors in life. When I am working with a client who has been "yo yo" dieting and being on and off with exercising their entire life, I am thrilled when they experience an "ah ha" moment and learn to seamlessly incorporate mindful eating, movement, better sleep and stress management into their lives. This is why I do what I do.

In the past twenty years I’ve had five trainers. Most of them lasted only a couple of months before I realized that they were not helping me. My experience with Pam Wright has been exceptional, and because of that, I have worked out with her for approximately two years now. Pam is client-focused and highly effective. To be perfectly honest, I do not enjoy exercising. I am in my 50’s and have a few minor physical conditions that can be discouraging. When it comes to matters of health and nutrition, I’m only interested in facts, and I don’t want my trainer promoting any products or fads. For most trainers that makes me a tough customer. Not so with Pam. Pam took the time to get to know me and tailor an exercise plan to my abilities and needs. We always do a mix of familiar and new exercises, and at every session I learn something. She has taught me about muscles, tendons, stretching, and other aspects of exercise physiology. Pam quickly picked up on my interest in science and because she is so knowledgeable, she has been able to motivate me by presenting facts, telling me about research studies, and discussing health news. Her expertise and energy have made all the difference in my commitment to an exercise plan. I now feel interested and encouraged, and my health has improved because of working out with Pam. Pam’s enthusiasm and concern for her clients’ health is sincere. This summer I had surgery on both feet. Before surgery, Pam helped me build up the muscles that would atrophy during my recovery. Since I’ve been able to exercise again, she has adapted exercises and found effective ways to work around my limitations to rebuild my strength without jeopardizing my recovery. Pam is passionate about the power of fitness to improve lives and she inspires others with her knowledge and energy. I am very grateful for the difference she has made in my life and I recommend her without hesitation.

Pam Wright is a dedicated health and fitness professional. She is passionate about what she does. I took an outdoor bootcamp class with Pam in Southern California for a couple of years. She takes the time to understand the goals of each individual and works hard to make each workout unique, challenging and fun. She is very personable and I enjoyed every workout.

I did Pam's bootcamp for years and also some one-on-one personal training with her and she is awesome to work with! She's super motivating, knowledgeable about fitness and the body, she keeps the workouts varied so you never get bored and if you do get an injury, she helps you to modify the exercises during recovery. I've missed her since she left California and have never found a trainer/instructor I've liked as much as Pam!

Pam knows kinesiology and is personally motivated to maintain good health. She is focused on helping you achieve your goals toward same. Pam has a special spark with her personality and always kept the workouts fun whether in a group or individual setting.
