Introduction: Melanie's background as a licensed architect, project manager, and sustainable designer ideal for clients looking for broad knowledge in the built environment, working with construction trades, and creating a sustainable plan. Melanie oversees design teams, outline project plans, and aids in sourcing professionals.
Melanie founded Mixtup Studio (previously founded Dynamikspace) which is located in Seattle, WA. She facilitates and advises on modern residential or commercial sustainable interiors and architectural remodeling, as well as development consulting and land use feasibility. Melanie consults and advises clients on efficient use of space, property allocation, integration of special uses with a lens on sustainable and mindful living.
Melanie is available to consult on your project including: sustainability home review and recommendations, home purchase and/or sale review for upgrade impacts on value, contractor and permit architect selection, sustainable materials, systems, lighting and materials, max use of space for low footprint, additions or ADU/DADU or other development consultation. Melanie creates design and project scope documents only. Construction and permit documents would be created by others (hired by client).
Because of Melanie's extensive knowledge and ability to provide actionable information, the initial 30 minute consult conference call is asked to be paid upfront (a link to pay and schedule will be sent to you). This meeting will assess your ideas and project requirements. It will include discussion of solutions and next steps that you can integrate into your project budget and schedule to move your project forward. This initial consult will be 1/2 hour and charged at $125.
Working with Melanie is fun, as well as, focused to get the job done. She is passionate about efficient utilization of space and understanding how clients can best live all aspects of their life the fullest in the homes they have.
