FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our contracts are usually priced to include all labor and materials. Washington state tax is added to the final invoice. If there are changes from the contracted agreement, then we clearly discuss any extras before doing the work. We discount our interior painting wages from November to March to keep our skilled technicians busy. We are an established professional company with an outstanding reputation in the industry and our pricing reflects the quality of our work and the experience that customers have from the moment they contact us until the project is completed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Potential customers meet with one of Eagle Eye Painting’s two owners/estimators to look at and discuss the painting project. After the meeting we send a detailed proposal outlining the scope of planned work. Once we have a signed contract and 10% deposit, the project has a secure place in our schedule. We cannot provide firm dates for exterior painting – we are always at the mercy of weather, other trades, and scope changes. When we start the project one of Eagle Eye Painting’s owners will be designated as the project manager. We may also collect 50% of the contract depending on the size of the project. We will also designate a lead painter to the project. The lead painter will be the main point of contact during the project. They will communicate with the homeowner on a daily bias. When the project is completed the lead painter will do a final walk through and have the owner sign off that they are satisfied with the paint work. The project manager will then follow up with the homeowner to again make sure that they and happy. At this paint we will send the final invoice.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All of Eagle Eye Painters are trained in fall protection, general construction safety, ladder safety, electrical safety, hazard communication, lead safety (every job that requires lead paint disturbance will be assigned a lead certified renovator) and have had respirator training.
