My review is a bit lengthy, however please read it, I feel this Law Firm deserves my gratification and you deserve to hear from a pleased client. I was extremely happy with the outcome of my divorce case. I did not have to go to court and was able to settle things in mediation. I had the opportunity to meet the Office Manager/ Paralegal/ on her way to be a Legal Technician (impressive) Christine. She did my intake. Christine was so understanding and comforting. I knew this was a good start and a good sign. Then I spoke with Associate Attorney Brian Neuharth. He really didn't have to take time out of his schedule to talk to me about my case before Managing Attorney Mike Moceri was ready to meet with me, yet he did. My divorce case would seem to be an easy one, but there were twists and turns that made it unusually a bit more difficult than it needed to be. I wanted and needed the help. Mike did not have to take my case, but he did even though we both discussed that he would be in trial the day of my mediation, and one of his associate attorneys would accompany me in mediation. However, he would go to trial with me if it indeed had to go to trial. There were only 3 weeks before mediation and the Law Firm still took my case. Brian Holden was the Associate Attorney scheduled to be with me during mediation. Having him there was a huge relief and worth every penny. I truly feel my outcome would not have been as successful as it was without the support and assistance of Brian in addition to the backing of the Law Firm. Every single staff member that I encountered showed more concern about my case than expected. I know they have many clients other than me, but I sure feel like they went above and beyond to assured me they would do their best, yet also very forthcoming of worst-case scenarios based on their experience and how the law interprets a case like mine. My comfort and right away huge reduction of stress was greatly put at ease. In my mind, knowing that the worst-case scenario from them, I felt, would be better than any worst-case scenario I could have possibly gotten for myself. Bonus, I got exactly what I wanted and the help that I needed to make that possible. The outcome was better than I could have expected. If you take the time and go to their website and see the BIOS about the many memberships, accreditations and awards that they have, it shows, and I see why they received all these awards. Rightfully so! I assure you I knew nothing about this Law Firm, aside from what their website said before I hired them; my review is genuine. I wanted to share my experience, so others don’t miss the opportunity to work with this Law Firm. Go meet them in person, you will see! Will I hire them again if I need an attorney for any of the other services they provide? Most definitely yes!

I had a great experience working with DC legal. My lawyer really took the time to make sure I understood every point before I signed anything. Also I wasn't nickel and dimed as I had been at other firms. Prices and services were clear up front. Will use again and highly recommend this lawyer.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Is there a ten star option?🌟 because that's what he is, he is above and beyond what you expect. What can I say here except that my expectations were blown right out of the water he was that good. He came out to meet me within an hour of me calling and consulting over the phone. During our in person talk we discussed the situation and he listen to me for about an hour possibly longer in relation to everything that was going on. he would not even discuss price and he had told me that he wanted to make sure that he could help me before he charges anything. Someone that honest that quality driven is RARE,🌹extremely rare. By the time I was done filling him in on everything he stated that he thought at this point it would be better to go and alternate route because he felt that at this point it would be more price effective for my particular situation to focus on the free things I can do rather than jumping into paying for services but he said that if I don't feel comfortable with that he can absolutely move forward and start right away. I was wanting to cry I was so happy talking to someone who actually cared about my situation and was giving me advice based on my best interest I can't tell you how much that meant to me. If that wasn't already amazing which it is he then stated that there is a certain course of actions that he thought would be effective he gave me a detailed step-by-step of what I should do and he also offered to help me facilitate that procedure that he was recommending. I left the meeting feeling refreshed and feeling that I was able to see it from a more level view as it wasn't being distorted from my emotional status. Honestly he could also make a great psychiatrist LOL!! He is very low pressure and makes you feel at a ease during a time you probably don't feel so well and honestly that was very significant for me. In terms of his background he has a very impressive background in law enforcement! Also the rate he quoted me was extremely fair, I honestly think he should charge more for his services. I will not hesitate to call him again when I need PI help, thank you again, you don't know how much it meant to me! I finally felt like I had control back again I don't know what I would have done without his help 😊Sincerely Lala

Extrememly Knowledgable and Patient I went to John a few years ago after I had been charged with a DUI. I was scared to death and worried that I would go to jail and lose my job. John took the time to explain to me the possible resolutions that could occur in my case and calmed me down right away. Ultimately John was able to negotiate a resolution to my case where I didn’t have to go to jail, did not lose my license and didn’t hurt my job. I would highly recommend him for any type of criminal case. Thanks.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer fights on your behalf if you’ve been injured physically, psychologically, economically or in reputation. This injury may be the result of neglect or malicious intent of another person, or it could be at the hands of a business, government or other entity. Personal injury lawyers specialize in tort law, which is the law of civil wrongs like car accidents, company wrongdoing, unlawful imprisonment and more.

To become qualified to be a personal injury lawyer in the United States, a person must earn a bachelor’s degree, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from a law school. Most states then require the person to pass the bar exam to become licensed to practice law. Unlike many attorneys who require a retainer, personal injury lawyers often work on contingency fees. This means that in lieu of payment upfront, they receive an agreed-upon percentage of the settlement in case of a win.

What should you look for in a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer will advocate for your legal rights if you’ve been hurt in an accident at work or in daily life, have suffered from medical malpractice, or are struggling to have your insurance carrier cover your needs. It may be helpful to talk with two or three lawyers before selecting one. When looking for a personal injury lawyer, research their reviews and make sure former clients have had good experiences with them. Next, make sure the personal injury lawyer has experience and proven success winning cases similar to yours. Confirm that the lawyer is licensed to provide services in your state. When you find a qualified personal injury lawyer with whom you want to work, freely discuss payment and fees before any work begins. Most lawyers offer a free consultation to learn what your case is about and explain their rates. Personal injury attorneys typically receive a percentage of your settlement (called a contingency fee), so they are paid after the trial or case is complete. Keep in mind that some attorneys have fees that you must pay even if you don’t win your trial. It’s important to understand these details before work begins so you don’t have any unhappy surprises later. Lastly, it’s wise to choose a personal injury lawyer that you have confidence in and with whom you can communicate openly and honestly.
