Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Hi, my name is R.J. I am a certified mindfulness teacher. I work with adults looking to begin a regular mindfulness meditation practice (or would like to build upon their current one). In addition to mindfulness practices, I also coach my clients around how to best integrate mindful presence into everyday life. Mindfully working with one's own goals and intentions is another key piece to the work I do. For details about my services/pricing, please scroll down to the FAQ section. A typical session with me includes: - creating and setting (and reflecting on) personal goals - learning mindfulness practice, including the theory and science - discussing ways to integrate mindfulness into your day - practicing mindfulness meditation together mindfulmomentswa.com, for more details :)

R.J. was professional and offered me several meeting times that fit my schedule. I appreciated the free "clarity" call, as it gave me a chance to see how we fit. The mindfulness and peace aspect of his coaching. In particular, are the number one draw for me.

I’ve been working with RJ for over a month and he has been very helpful and supportive. I came to RJ with a basic understanding of meditation. I had a need to grow that understanding and also have accountability for my practice. My practice is becoming more balanced and consistent.

RJ is very clear and calming. He knows how to not only guide, but personalize his meditations to the client. I truly enjoyed working with him.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I typically begin with a free 20-minute clarity call, where we discuss your goals and intentions, and how I can be of service in helping you reach them. After that, sessions are $55/hour.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We start with a free “clarity call” to establish a sense of rapport with one another, and understand your needs and what you can expect from me. Either during the clarity call or during the first session, I will recommend the most appropriate mindfulness practice for what you're working with. I will also coach you around achievable steps you can start working on right away to work toward your goal. Finding ways to merge mindful presence throughout your day is key! Communication and resources: I meet with most of my clients via video chat, such as Zoom or FaceTime. I also offer free audio recordings of either myself or other teachers leading guided meditations, ranging in length from 5 to 45 minutes. I've found this particularly helpful for those just starting out with mindfulness meditation.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been regularly practicing mindfulness meditation since 2011, when I attended my first 10-day silent meditation retreat in Kandy, Sri Lanka. I have since committed to at least a week or two of silent retreat every year, the longest ones being 45-days, 28-days, and also a 14-day solitary retreat. To date, I have completed over 5 months of silent retreat practice. In 2014, I became a student of meditation teacher and award-winning author, Lodro Rinzler. During this time I began leading meditation groups for school teachers seeking to relieve stress. In 2015, I was invited to teach at the Annual Educators’ Conference for the Association of American Schools in South America (AASSA). Over the next few years, I continued leading meditation groups and classes for teachers. In 2019, I completed a 350-hour mindfulness teacher certification program. That same year, I founded Mindful Moments, LLC, offering classes and one-on-one meditation instruction. From 2019 to 2020, I participated in a 9-month monastic residency at Gampo Abbey, a remote Buddhist monastery in Nova Scotia, Canada. After returning my monk robes, I moved back to Seattle, WA where I continue to offer mindfulness services. I am a student of Pema Chodron and Vince Horn.
