Rick did a wonderful job on a mural for my nursary. He was very reasonably priced and professional. I would definitely use him again in the future and recommend to friends.
David did an outstanding job keeping in contact and completing my sons mural on time. I would have him back to paint another mural anytime I could afford another. David's prices are fair. The mural turned out better than expected. Thanks again David Ty
great design, beautiful mural, quick work, very inventive. I really recommend Sarah Robbins!
Andy is exceptional. I wish that I could give more than five stars. Let me explain why he completely exceeded the expectations that my wife and I had of our project. Project: paint a mural inspired by children's literary and film characters with a backdrop of Seattle. We met with Andy brainstormed the names of different characters, and he came back with an incredibly creative mural concept that had Harry Potter zooming by the Space Needle on his broom stick carrying a basketball. The overall concept was tremendous, and he deserves taking an idea into the thoughtful concept. But, what really makes Andy distinguished is his professional approach and overall execution. The quality of his painting is jaw dropping. His careful research, studious approach, attention to detail, steady hand, and meticulous execution are off the charts. Overall, the mural will transform this basement and make us even more proud of our house. But, it was Andy, who brought this high-level idea to tremendous execution. Note: I'm sure there are other good muralists in Seattle. I assessed some others via Thumbtack and other artist marketplaces, but I'd encourage you really look at the quality of the work. Look at their portfolios. Andy was on the more expensive side, but in hindsight, it was a tremendous decision to pay the premium. Lastly, Andy is just a strong professional who takes pride in his craft and one who we trusted in our home working by himself. He showed up every morning at 730 am. Brought his coffee, lunch, and overall supplies and just worked steadily every day until the project was complete. His listening, demeanor, and overall kindness to our family was equally impressive. I just can not recommend him high enough for executing on wall murals and in taking a high-level idea into a mural concept.
Leo Shallat Mari Shibuya customized a private painting lesson for my eleven-year-old daughter and her two friends. Leo suggested meeting by the mural he and Mari were in the process of paiting and letting the girls take a turn at contribtuing to the mural after the lesson. It was amazing! The girls learned some brushstroke basics, paint mixing, and landscape painting. Leo and Mari set up a tent to protect from the weather and brought all supplies. They were fantastic with the girls. It was an amazing experience for them!
Ms. Brown and I were fellow vendors behind the purple door... a small artisan shop downtown Olympia, at one point in time. I recall a mural that she designed for the owners. I found her work to be very appealing, eye catching and imaginative. A true Artist. Since, we have become and remained friends. I also was owner/operator of a local guild that she participated in.
Tamara did a live mural painting during our daughter's wedding reception. She was an absolute delight and did a great deal of prep work, learning our vision for the mural, researching the venue so she could capture and juxtapose the inside and outside of the venue in her mural. She took photos of the bride and groom at the beginning of the evening and by the end of the evening we had beautiful finished mural. Our guests enjoyed watching her work and the bride and groom have a beautiful keepsake from their wedding.
Megan has worked for us a few times since our initial interaction. She's great at finishing mural projects, paint by number and following the vision of the client. Megan has superb technical skills and a super fun portfolio to look at! I would definitely recommend her! She's very easy to work with and a joy to be around!
Mari and Leo are exceptional. We reached out to them when our studio opened to contemplate creating a mural together. From the very beginning, they were open-minded and engaged listeners. Mari kept me involved in all of their decisions, and they even designed a sketch that we talked through live to ensure we were on the same page. Though I didn't know how to express what I wanted in artist-lingo, I felt heard and understood the entire way. I asked Mari and Leo for a mural that would mimic the experience of "looking into nature." I also loved the idea of sacred geometry and a figure in meditation to center the piece around. What they created was seriously magical and somehow captured everything I desired and more. The depth and intention of the mural is incredible. It looks and feels organic, as if it had always been a part of the space. While Mari did the sacred geometry and figure design, Leo created this asymmetrical movement and depth across the entire mural that feels somewhat like a river flowing through a forest, but with elements of calligraphy and graffiti. So good. It definitely has the "looking into nature" feel; you can rest your eyes on it and engage with it for hours. I highly recommend these two. In fact, we hope they will be our mural artists moving forward with any other studios we open.
Gary and Nate painted a tree on my daughter's wall and it turned out great! The guys were so nice and helpful. The colors were spot-on and they were a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend them.
Christina Dean has done ad design and menu boards for both of my businesses, a popular neighborhood pub and barcade. Christina is not only a talented and creative artist but was very professional in her approach to the needs of my business. Her great attitude and ability to listen to what I was looking for and translate that to a finished product made the experience an excellent one. I will certainly be using her services again. We recently went through a significant home remodel and I needed help with planning design of the kitchen as well as help with room design. Additionally once the remodel was finished, I needed some help with decorating and organizing. Elaine was referred to me by a mutual friend and I couldnt be more pleased with the results. She was instrumental in designing the lay out of the kitchen and the bathrooms. She also ended up making a number of recommendations to the architectural drawings and we took all of her advice and were thrilled with the outcome. Once the remodel was finished, I brought Elaine back to the house and we started looking at organizing and decorating. Elaine is incredibly creative, she was able to reuse all of my furniture and knick knacks throughout the house in ways that I wouldnt have even thought of. Because Elaine is an artist, she innately understands color schemes, space and position planning while decorating in your style not hers. All I can say is that she captured exactly what I was thinking and made our home an amazing place! I highly recommend Elaine to anyone looking for an amazing Space Planner, Decorator and Organizer.
I have 40 years in the sign and mural business using oils and acrylics. I also repair signs. The biggest sign I painted was a 40'x80' sign on a corrugated roof. It had longitude and latitude with contents. The leg of the P was 6'x28' tall. I can look at a matchbook cover and duplicate it to whatever size you want, just by looking at it.

What sets me apart fom the rest of th people in myline of work is that i do it all because i love the art, the reactions, the compliments, and the satisfaction of livening up the city. Other people do it for the money or the fame. I dont really think you can put a price on creativity. And as for fame is over rated. I knw who i am, and thats good enough for me.
My work stands out from others because all of my work is art that I come up with on my own, all I do is draw and sketch on my free time , I enjoy it. When working on projects I make sure to do the best work possible , I enjoy seeing the reaction of people when they see the finished product.
I create unique, handcrafted, one-of-a-kind custom works of art. From simple sketches, children's coloring books and paint with water to large multi-canvas masterpieces and murals, I can help.
I have produced and exhibited work throughout Washington, Oregon, and Montana for the past 10 years. After receiving my BFA from The University of Montana in 2012, I moved to Seattle, Washington to further seek my creative passions. My drawings consist of loose and gritty marks applied to paper or walls in an authoritative manner. Acrylic and graphite are my main mediums used. I usually depict icons and characters compositionally to convey narratives. My work is often described as being reminiscent of folklore in that it reveals life's lessons in a lighthearted way. I am skilled in murals, drawings, paintings, and sculpture.
