Introduction: I am an award-winning artist who paints the still life in oil. My class size is small (3 to 5 students). The lessons take place in my private studio, which is located within an artist's community. The students work at their own pace, as they paint from life using classical painting techniques.

I have been taking lessons from her since 2011. I started as a complete novice, no prior experience in painting or any systematic art training. She emphasizes the importance of values, and, once a student masters it, moves onto other aspects of paintings: key, temperature, hue, composition, etc. She wouldn't be giving you a lip service, she would give you a real fundamental training, and beyond if you wish to continue. I feel extremely lucky that I met her, for that I could not afford going to full time atelier or university. If you want to build a solid foundation, I highly recommend her.

I had the opportunity to tour Sandra Power studio and weekend class. She would be an excellent teacher and I wish I had a schedule that would allow me to participate in her training. I was impressed by the set up she creates for her students one day a week . Unfortunately I am unable to commit to this time frame.
