About this pro

How does your service stand out?

I focus on maintaining a healthy, we'll behaved, happy dog while living in the city. By keeping your dogs active and social through all the stages in their life. Having 2 seperate group of dogs allows my business to cater to your dogs lifestyle. One group, is for dogs over 7 years or lower energy. Giving the dogs the excersize they need without the pressure of the younger, higher energy pooches. Allowing the younger, higher energy dogs to get the style of excersize and play they require.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

Spending time with the furry best friend of the family and ensuring that they play an intricate role in their families lives.

Very Happy with Sirius Pet Care!
Rhiannon is responsive, understands the needs of me and my pet, and is willing to work with us to be successful!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start out with a meet and greet. This gives us a chance to meet in your home where your pet is most comfortable. While going over all questions and service requirements. Depending on the service required. We can have a second meeting at the dog park. After the first 2 weeks at the dog park we sit down and discuss the behavior and social skills your pooch displays. Deciding if I and your dog are a good match for continued service.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently going to college for a Bachelors of Science in Canine Behavior and Counseling. With aspirations to teach families and their children all about their first dog (training, grooming, body language, appropriate interactions) So that no child has to experience being bit by their family pet.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $25per dog and $15 for each additional dog for the off leash adventures at Magnuson Dog Park. We spend 90 minutes playing, fetching, sniffing and swimming at one of the top dog parks in the country. I charge $60 a night for boarding in my home. I limit my service to four dogs per night and they get to enjoy the daily adventures. I charge $20 for all vacation pet care. Where I spend 30 minutes in your home spending time feeding, playing and checking your homes security.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started with a love for animals as a child. I first started with volunteering at the human society. It turned into, starting a foster program in my own home(farm). Finding homes for deserted dogs, cats, horses, sheep, goats and many more animals. After moving to Seattle I wanted to continue my passion and skills working with animals. Through time and research I decided to start a business working with dogs and caring for cats. While providing people with the comfort their furries were safe, comfortable, healthy and happy while living the busy life of the city. In the back of my mind knowing with the care provided and results of daily excersize. Every animal is more likely to have their forever home.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with a wide range of customers. The pet owner who works long hours. The family whose schedule is full of daily events and obligations. The older clients that can no longer provide the excersize their dog requires. The client that wants to come home to a calm, tired pooch and enjoy a relaxing evening with their furry. The client who needs help training their dog and giving it social interactions. The owner
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I was recently voted the Vice President of Magnuson Off Leash Group Board (501ce). We are the stewards of Magnuson Dog Park and work with the Seattle Parks department maintaining, and raising money to improve the dog park. We are currently working with the county to build a shelter in the small dog Park. We are looking forward to this project to be completed in 2018. I am also the Admin for the Magnuson Off Leash facebook page that gives the public an opportunity to learn about upcoming events, post pictures of their dogs antics and leave comments regarding the Park. There is nothing better than being involved with the community.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I would advice customers to look into privately owned business. With years of experience working with animals and their families. Having someone who truly cares for your furry furry family should be a top priority.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
What level of training has your pooch mastered? What is the enervy level of your dog? What weekly schedule does your dog require to be healthy and happy in the city? How much time do you want your animal care provider to spend with your animal? Is your dog comfortable and well socialized with other dogs? Does your dog need special training or attention? Are you looking for a steady animal provider? Or do you mind different providers working with your dog? While boarding do you want your dog to use a kennel or have free range in the home? What are your expectations from a care provider while you are on vacation? If your pet needs medical care. How much experience do you require from your care provider?
