About this pro
When it was time for me to step out into the world on my own after years of study under some of the best in the business I needed to set myself down one of two paths. To use a favorite trope, the well beaten path is that of quick turnover and sufficient images. The other option was to follow that of the women and men that I worked for as an assistant and aim for quality projects that I can pour my mind and energy into. It has been a without a doubt been the rougher route although I know I couldn't be happier with my choice. That being said, please please research the photographer you are looking at hiring outside of Thumbtack. Don't be afraid to ask for references! Don't hire them without knowing they are backed by a professional organization! I am a member of The American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) and Professional Photographers of America (PPA). There are also some great wedding/portrait photography professional organizations out there: WPPI and WPJA. Good Luck out there! I love that I get to learn. I am constantly being given the opportunity to shoot in different environments just in the last month I have been in one of the top cancer research facilities with multi-million dollar research robots at my disposal AND I spent a day on a hop farm following the owner and a brewmaster who was there deciding what hops they should purchase.
Customers rated this pro highly for punctuality, work quality, and responsiveness.

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?First and foremost I try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to pricing. Along with that I will work with your budget whether big or small by using a sliding scale for pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?Usually I begin with some questions that aren't answered by the initial project request that you create. I want to not only be able to give my clients an accurate estimate, I want to be sure that this is a project I am fit to work on. After that the process can go several different ways depending on the project and the amount of planning necessary. But don't fret, I can talk you through the whole project to make sure we are doing the right thing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I not only continue my education in numerous ways but I also teach photography at the University of Washington.
