- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My biggest piece of advice to anyone looking to hire a photographer is to not base their decision on price. This is an industry in which you truly do get what you pay for (there are always exceptions, but this is true FAR more than it is not in this case). Quality is far better than quantity when it comes to choosing who will provide you with your family portraits. You want a photographer who has a style that you love. Find a few that you are drawn to and look at their work; what do you feel when you see it? Do those feelings line up with what you are naturally drawn to? Try word associations and choose based on that. It is so much better to pick a photographer that you absolutely adore and have to save for a session with them than to settle for a cheap photographer and regret it later and feel like that money has been wasted. Trust me; I've been there and done that. ;)
