- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Having always had a passion for writing, I chose to study English and Spanish at the University of St Andrews in Scotland and completed my MA in 2011. After this, I went on to work as an editor for a London publishing company where I spent two years. I continue to use my skills as a freelance editor/proofreader for a range of different projects.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Sometimes the most painstaking part of writing is working out the kinks: flow, sentence structure, formatting, etc. If you are a creative professional, hiring an editor will eliminate a lot of the grunt work and give you more time to develop your message and ideas.
