FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most real estate brokerages have a "one size fits all" pricing plan. It is typically a percentage (for example only 6% or 7%) of the gross sale price of the home. Choice Realty offers several different pricing options depending upon the specific goals of the home seller. Our non-traditional pricing strategies make more sense to 90% of our clients in the current market. The other 10% work with us traditionally. The beauty of our system is in our name, we give You the Choice!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I read the book Nothing Down by Robert Allen back in 1987 while in college and became highly interested in real estate. Later, when given the opportunity, I developed an idea for a For Sale By Owner web site called Spokanebyowner.com and grew that into a substantial company. As the market shifted, I created the initial concept the Choice Realty has evolved into today under the brand name Owner Assist Realty.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I specialize in a couple of key areas: 1. Expired Listings - I'm often contacted by people who hired the first Realtor they came into contact with and ended up regretting that decision. I meet with them and many of them (not all are a fit) decide they like the differences they see between me and my colleagues in the industry. I have a good track-record of selling these "unsold" homes. 2. For Sale By Owner clients - Having worked as a FSBO consultant for 9 years, I understand your goals and objectives if you're in this category and I know how to help you get the most amount of net dollars from your sale in a reasonable time frame. The goal is to sell the home for the highest possible price in a reasonable amount of time and ultimately get the buyer to pay for it!
