Introduction: Shmily Face Photography is about unleashing the happiness that naturally radiates from every family and wedding couple in a unique, natural way. That being said, we're also very conscious of the changing times, and we strive to make sure that the way we deliver our work to you, the client, gives you the most options for your investment. We're also very technology based: We display your images in a gallery that allows you to share images on social media sites, buy prints, and download all the images to be able to buy prints at other locations! Your family can also purchase prints (No more phone calls asking for the print where she caught the bouquet!) so you can enjoy your honeymoon and newlywed bliss in peace. Our style is Moody and Colorful. We love a good story--and we showcase that in our work. But best of all? We do it all while being completely aware of your wishes and requests. Your voice is the only one that matters--we'll put our artistic spin on it, but if there's a shot you want, tell us! We want you to be completely happy with everything! The all-caps comments from my couples after they see their images from an engagement shoot, family shoot, or a wedding. I seriously live for the emotional responses as they recount their favorite images, the joy at my capturing their new brother in law crying during the wedding, and the laughter when they see pictures of their guests that they missed while they were still swimming in the bliss of being married.

My engagement photos were an unbelievably amazing experience. Steph was the ultimate professional, and agreed to get up at 4am to be ready for a sunrise shoot, even securing a backup location when we were running behind. Friends and family have raved about the picture quality, and she captured our personalities perfectly! We had an amazing time!

Stephanie was a delight to work with. She was able to make even shy members of the family feel comfortable in front of the camera and was very flexible when the weather crashed our original plans. We got the pictures back very quickly and are very pleased with the quality.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly trying new techniques, new styles, new themes for my images. I want to make sure that I keep with the current trends of photography, so I can do what my clients request--while also keeping a timeless look that you'll love several decades down the road. :)
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I come from a LARGE family, and we have 1 image that I know of where we're all in a picture together....and I wish more than anything that we could have had more. Then, my sister got married, and her photographer had no idea what they were doing--they didn't get a single in-focus shot of the entire wedding-everything was blurry. The only images that came out where ones taken by me and a few others in the audience. It made me want to learn so that I could ensure it never happened to any of my other sisters ever again.
