About
My clients are continually impressed by how much work we can get done in just an hour. I know you're busy so I will use the most efficient and positive techniques that will ensure you're loving life with your dog! Dogs are really impressive creatures and humans are lucky to have them around. :) I love seeing the joy on owners' faces when their dog starts to understand what is being asked. There is no greater joy than a shy dog who is finally comfortable enough to play or a barky dog who finally can sit quietly while another dog passes by. Owners have repeatedly told me what a difference the training makes in their and their dog's lives. My clients can walk their dogs on leash without getting pulled around. My clients are no longer embarrassed to have people over because their dogs aren't jumping on guests.

I took my dog in for some behavioral issues... He likes to jump on people when I'm out walking him. Anne was very knowledgeable and offered straightforward advice and clear directions for helping this issue. I'd definitely recommend Anne's services to anyone looking for a dog trainer.

Anne was incredibly patient and non-judgmental with us and our dog Marco who deals with fear aggression. She helped us understand him more and by our third lesson he was able to meet and interact with Anne's dog Kirby! She gave us realistic homework and exercises and made the training as much about us as it was about Marco. We've learned so much about our dogs body language and how best to help him get comfortable around other dogs! We continue to work with Marco and absolutely look forward to working with Anne more and partaking in more of her classes!

Had an evaluation/training with my new dog I adopted from pet rescue. Nico had some possession issues with food dish and toys that we worked on. The trainer gave me good instructions on trust building and training specifics that would work with my dog. Also got additional tips that have helped in other aspects.

Anne is amazing!! We rescued our golden retriever, Buddy, in April. He had lived in many homes before ours, was likely abused, and was homeless for at least 4 months before the lady who rescued him was finally able to catch him. Having a rough start to his first four years of life has made him extremely timid of strangers. It was to the point we felt like we couldn't have people come over because he was so scared. We decided to contact Anne when we found out we were having another baby, which meant we were going to have a lot of visitors helping in the near future. I wanted to find someone who could help show Buddy the world is not scary, and I needed a positive trainer to help do that. The first day we brought Buddy to Anne he didn't even want to go into the building. It took a lot of walking around the area before he would try to go inside, and even then we had to kind of force him in. By the third training he let Anne pet him, and by the fourth training he was excited to get there and went in the building with no problems. Since he was more comfortable by the last lesson, her husband also came to help out and gave Buddy a chance to interact with another person (Buddy has been especially afraid of men). I thought it was awesome she gave us another opportunity to introduce Buddy to a potentially scary situation and make it positive. Anne gave me so many tools to teach other people how to interact with him and make him more comfortable. We have been able to have some people come over, and although he will occasionally bark at them when they make a sudden movement, it is a gigantic improvement as he used to bark and growl at people the entire time they were at our house. I am able to take him out more without being afraid he will hurt someone out of fear, and I know this will only get better with continued practice of everything Anne taught me. I am so thankful she has helped our family give Buddy a second chance at a good life! I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for help with their shy and/or fearful dog!
