Ryan completed a variety of projects that I needed to get done in order to list my property for sale. Among many other items, he replaced stair and balcony balusters, replaced and painted a deck door, fixed a broken gate, fixed a deck stair, and replaced and painted several broken fence rails. He easily understood everything that I needed to get done, is highly competent and professional, communicative, and a pleasure to work with in general. I'd be happy to hire him again and recommend him without hesitation.
Details: Yes, I will provide the molding or trim • This is just an installation job - no design needed • 41 - 80 ft • I do not need it painted or stained

We needed our hardwood flooring fixed. Ryan worked with us to find solutions, and did a bang up job redoing a major portion of the floor in a very short time. He is easy to work with, and very respectful.

Ryan responded to my message quickly and came for walkthrough before sending me a price quote. The price is reasonable compared to another one who just sent me the price based on photos and vedios. He completed the work in time and would find him for next project.

Ryan modified a cabinet for me, making the opening bigger and building a new platform in the base for a new oven. He also cut a ventilation slot at the base of the cabinet. He did the work well and came prepared and worked hard and skillfully. I will definitely use Ryan again and recommend him for your carpentry needs. Thanks Ryan!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $90/hr and usually have a 4 hour minimum for most small projects. Estimates are always free. I encourage clients to build a list of things they need done around the house to fill the time. To-do lists done!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
15+ years in various trades. Trained in finish carpentry but handy with all the trades. If I can't do it, I'll point you in the right direction with an educated recommendation.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Started as a teenager working for my uncles stone masonry company in Alaska. He also had me work on building his home, so I was exposed to all facets of home building from the ground up. After that I was employed as apprentice finish carpenter throughout my early 20's.
Also built out and ran my own food truck in Seattle for 4 years. When the pandemic shut us down in 2020, I pivoted back to my construction roots and started The Mountain Handyman.
