- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm subscribed to Makeup Artist Magazine (which is amazing!) and I keep up with other makeup artist as we share tips and tricks with each other. Also the usual YouTube video tutorials! I am hoping to find an advanced class in Special Effects as it's one field I would love to go deeper in.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I'd been in the service industry for the last 12 years. My last job as a cocktail waitress put me at my whits end. I decided that if I was going to make a living it should be done while doing something that I enjoy. I've always enjoyed doing makeup since I was in high school. So it was with the help of my amazing boyfriend that I went to a 6 month course program in Seattle and before I even graduated I was already getting work and now here I am!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
My two biggest types of clientele are brides and boudoir sessions. I'm definitely seasoned when it comes to photographed beauty makeup. Once in awhile I'll get clients for military balls, senior portraits, teenagers for their homecoming dances and film work for special effects!
