FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $5 for a 15 minute walk, $10 for a 35 minute walk, and $15 for a 60 minute walk. I typically charge $40/night/dog but in order to get going on this web site more, I will only charge $30/night/dog. That includes walks in the morning and evening if desired and overnight stay at your house. I have a flexible schedule during the day so if you would like me to hang out with your dog during the day or stop by midday, I am able to do that for a slightly higher rate. I often offer discounts if there is more than one dog. The amount of the discount varies depending on your needs and the demeanor of your pet. I usually like to meet my clients before I can say how much, if any, I would be able to discount. If you are working on a budget, I am always open to bartering and trading.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take online dog sitting courses and first aid courses for pets.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a student now. I like to be able to work on my school work while I curl up with pets. I am quite athletic and enjoy long hikes and walks and runs at the park or on trails. I plan to work with animals and the environment in the future so I was looking for a way to combine my interests with my future goals.
