FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is typically a flat fee based on project square footage, complexity, desired design timeline, and the level of technical documentation required. Code research and permitting assistance, when needed, are billed hourly at $100 per hour. Work begins after a signed contract and retainer payment are received. Site visits are typically $300, with pricing subject to change depending on location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process begins with an initial phone or Zoom consultation to understand the project goals, scope, and constraints. After the call, the client completes a short Google Form, which allows me to prepare a detailed proposal. Once the proposal is accepted, a contract is signed and a deposit—typically 30–40%—is collected. From there, meetings and milestones are scheduled directly with the client based on the specific needs of the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been studying architecture for over five years. I hold an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Architectural Design and Drafting from Portland Community College and am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Architecture at Portland School of Architecture. I have worked in the field for four years, including experience at a drafting company and later at an architectural firm in Vancouver, Washington.
