Nearly every client I've ever worked with tells me this when talking about prior service providers. It's something I can say as well about some of the contractors I've allowed in my home.
When I come to your home, my goal, intention, and mission is to fully understand what your project entails and how I can help you accomplish your vision. I've been doing DIY and garden projects at our family home for over 15 years. My husband calls me his renaissance woman (hence the name Renaissance Beth). He buys me cards that say "Mr. Fix-it" and changes it to "Mrs." While he would have been content to hire someone when something went wrong, I googled/YouTubed a fix and took care of it myself. If the garbage disposal broke, I replaced it. If the dishwasher needed a new control panel, I installed it. If I found free wood in exchange for dismantling a deck, I removed each board and used it to make custom raised beds in my garden. Here are just a few of the things I've learned to do over the years and a small sample of the kind of work I can do for you:
