FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Some IT work can be fixed priced, others are based on an hourly rate. The same is true for business and strategic consulting.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The most important first steps are to get a clear and firm understanding of the overall goals and objectives of what the project should accomplish. This includes resources that are available, project constraints such as time and costs, and business decisions or conditions that may impinge on how the work can be effected. It is also important to know who the decision makers are so that suggested solutions can be easily approved. All of this becomes a framework for clear communications to make sure expectations on both sides are met for the entire course of the project.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My BS is in Physics and included some computer science, but that has been enriched by many years of experience - system design, coding, networks, servers, as well as corporate level management.
