FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was actually a financial analyst for 8 years. It was a good job, but my heart wasn't in it. I balanced spreadsheets all day long, then would come home and paint. I could paint until 3 in the morning. I never met a spreadsheet that inspired that kind of passion in me. The paintings lead into photography. I love the more creative side of photography and painting and with Brenton's encouragement and business savvy we are going for our dreams of working for ourselves. And wouldn't you know, Brenton is a pretty fantastic photographer too!!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When the wedding is over the pictures are what you have to remember the day. Skip the 5th hors d'oeuvre, and invest in a photographer that does great work and can tell your story through the pages of a custom album and through the frames of a cinematic video.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Who do you want to spend the day with? Do you trust this person to capture the meaningful moments of this all-important day? Will this photographer and/or videographer take the time with you to provide the highest quality service? How will this photographer and/or videographer tell the story of your day? Will they provide a product that will spark the emotions of that day every time you page through your album or watch the frames of your video?
