As a freelance Exhibit Designer, sometimes I have the need for an Illustrator since that is out of my wheelhouse. I've had the pleasure of working with Tim several times over the past few years and each project has left my client extremely happy. He is very good at discerning the wants and needs of his clients and then of course translating that into an outstanding design.

I have about 160 pieces of clip art at the Fotolia website, though it can't be referenced by artist. I used to have my own clip art store online. I have a website for photography and painted glass if you are interested. I have a quick turnaround. My fees are reasonable because I don't have the large overhead that a graphics firm has. I am a web UI designer with a passion in digital paintings and illustrations. I love to do portraits and still life, but I specialize in landscapes, both sci-fi and nature scapes.
I begin most all of my illustrations with hand drawings and sketches. I have a strong foundation of traditional media with a flair for incorporating elements or aspects to my illustrations that appeal commercially.
I'm a purely bonafide individual, who pays specific attention to detail and craft. My source of wonder sprouted from playing archaeologist with empty turtle shells, and cataloging the Wild Carrot, Purple Astor, and Primrose flowers in my back yard.
As a Milwaukee based illustrator and graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, I practice a variety of artistic disciplines including traditional 2D media, graphic design, murals, and digital rendering. I offer freelance illustration services for a wide variety of applications ranging from advertising illustrations, branding and company logos to books, magazines, and collateral design. Strengths lie in the use of traditional media and hand-rendering skills. Julie's unique style emphasizes bold line work and transitioning weights to create imagery that is both communicative and captivating. I create both interior and exterior commissioned murals that transform ordinary spaces into environments that cultivate the imagination. All mural projects are painted on-site using traditional hand-painting methods, masking techniques, and equipment.

I will do any kind of portraits, drawings, paintings, cartoon work, caricatures, and illustration. I will talk on the phone or by email.
I have a distinct sense of humor and style that separates me from others in my field. My sense of humor has an edge to it that is appropriate for kids, but also can be appreciated by adults, which makes my art very versatile. Also, unlike many artists today, I also feel extremely comfortable working traditionally without the aid of computers, which lends my art a warmer feel and a more personal touch. However, I am not opposed to working digitally, but I find it helpful that I can do both. I have also been exploring illustration through embroidery, and I find that it's a skill that not many illustrators have. It allows me to take a very traditional artform, and apply it to contemporary styles of drawing, which creates a really nice contrast and is very visually interesting. It's super fun too!
