FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly investing my time doing research on how better my skills set via books and online classes and tutorials. Frankly, it really doesn't feel like work to me, because I could spent hours researching and taking test shots without even realizing it.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved taking pictures of people, places and things since the Polaroid days. And when I had my children, the search was on for a camera fast enough to keep up with how fast they were growing and being able to catch them in action! In 2012 I asked my husband for a semi-pro Nikon DSLR. It was love at first sight. Shortly after friends and family continued to ask me to take their pictures and at that point I dove in. I spent countless hours soaking up everything I could from books and online classes.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs I do are family portraits on location as well as senior photographs.
