A cheerful, energetic mood is the most important part of balloon twisting. Fortunately, it's easy to be cheerful when you watch kids smile as a career. It starts with fun chat, but not school chat (grown-ups ALWAYS ask about school). When they ask for a pink bunny, I compliment them on color choice and ask if they have ever seen a real pink bunny. I may do some play by play: "Now let’s make those big bunny ears, do you like big bunny ears, or do you like little bunny ears?" When creating a black balloon sword, I may say "Ooo, black is the color of ninjas, will this be a ninja sword?" Etc.
For big events, I can bring my teenage kids to help twist for an extra fee.

We booked Twist N Shout to do balloons for our outdoor Easter basket hunt. The weather turned out to be cold and windy but they braved the weather and did a great job with a super positive attitude. They got the time wrong, so they were a little late, but they stayed in contact with me and it all worked out fine in the end.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is negotiable and depends on location and size of the event. I try my best to keep costs low to easily fit within the customers budget. Special pricing is available for charities and churches. For big events, I can bring my teenage kids to help twist for an extra fee.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a phone conversation with the customer to understand his or her event. We can then determine how my services can add to the fun. Face to face meetings are fine too.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have years of experience with twisting balloons and am great with kids. I have five of my own (ages 3-16).
