- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When looking to hire a GOOD carpet cleaning company there are many things you should look for. 1. How long has the company been in business. You don't want to hire a company that just started up yesterday and is looking to learn on the job from there mistakes (your home). 2. What type of equipment do they use. A company maybe around for a long time, but if they are not using an up-to-date truck mounted system, they may not be able to extract all the soil from your carpets. 3. Price. Many of us are price shoppers looking for the cheapest price. When it comes to your carpet, don't go cheap. Odds are you don't have your carpets cleaned all that often and if the stains come back in a week or two, you just wasted away all that money for nothing. A cheaper company usually means lower quality. Any good carpet cleaning company will also give you a free quote. 4. Is the company bonded and insured. Mistakes happen, that is just part of life. Make sure the carpet cleaning company is insured and bonded in case something happens. 5. Check reviews! We live in the age of the internet where everyone is online seeking advice. A GOOD carpet cleaning company should have a website and should be listed on sites such as Google places, Yahoo listing, Yelp.com, and others. These sites are out there to help people make informed decisions and read what others experienced with that company. Renting a machine is an option, but you will never be able to get your carpets as clean as a professional company. The vacuum size machines are no match for a truck mounted cleaning system. On a side note, I find local family owned businesses usually care more about each customer and the end results then the larger chain businesses.
