Matt’s work is exceptional. He installed laminate in our large basement which required removing carpet and molding. Matt took care of all aspects of the project, including arranging for delivery of laminate and even contacting the City to pick up removed carpet. He kept us informed daily of the status of the project and met our agreed upon timeline. The final product was outstanding. I have already referred him to several friends. I highly recommend him.

We had a recessed "nook" in the room we use for TV watching. With just a standard TV stand it was fine, but we wanted a built-in of some time to give the area character. We had an idea for a shelving unit. Matt listened to our idea and said he could surely build that for us, and we'd probably be very happy with it, but offered his own input too. With his ideas, we changed course and went with cabinets and floating shelves, an idea we may not have considered without his input. We loved the idea and went with it.
Matt's workmanship and attention to detail are extraordinary. He left no detail to chance and sought our input every step of the way. We are incredibly happy with the space now and impressed with the materials, work quality and price. We're very happy to have found Matt and hope to use him for some future projects too!

Matt was extremely helpful, kind, hardworking, and went above and beyond for us!
He hung 15 wall hangings, mounted a television, put up a ring doorbell, and helped put together parts of a desk.
I recommend Matt to anyone, he can do it all!

Matt did a very good job of the project. He was right on time and did the work within the timeframe we had in mind. He was very professional about the resident environment. He even came back to finish up that was not working the first time.

Matt was professional, polite and quick to respond to messages. I love the new ceiling fixture he recommended to replace the outdated fluorescent fixture. He gave me fair prices on several repairs. I would not hesitate to call Matt in the future.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a $100 minimum project charge (excluding materials). This is to encourage bundling of smaller projects so that my time is cost effective for both you and I. If I can pick up the materials for your project in advance, I don’t charge for my time to purchase them, only the actual cost of materials themselves.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I determine the scope of the project and what is known and expected of the job. If there are significant unknown variables, I offer to visit in person to discuss some options. I don’t like to jump right into a project without first explaining to the customer what needs to be done and what they can expect of me.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a child and into my teenage years, I loved figuring out how things work. Naturally, I studied engineering in college, but it wasn’t as rewarding as I expected. I wanted to work with my hands on a regular basis, so I started working in construction.
