Ann was a motivational speaker for a company meeting speaking about organizing your life to find balance and happiness. She used many examples from her personal life and I felt that most everyone walked away with not only a renewed vigor to get organized but also had at least one concrete manageable task (if not more) they could start doing that day to reach that goal.
She is an amazing coach and has changed my life forever!! She has such enthusiasm and love, she not only understands but makes you believe in yourself no matter what! She is a true blessing 💖
I am sooo very glad that I was matched with Venus. My daily life is happier and healthier than I had hoped when I started. She is inspiring and helps you do the workouts and small changes I knew I could do but was maybe afraid to do. She is very professional and goes beyond what a typical work out person would provide. She helps you along continually with uplifting daily messages and support during workouts. I would refer anyone at any level to her.
I am vivacious, observant, understanding, mindful, aware, compassionate, curious and a life-long learner. I am Puerto Rican. I love people. I speak English, Spanish and Portuguese. I am fascinated by human complexity and by how robust and resilient we truly are. This fascination with our psychology made me study Literature! WHAT?! YES... Literature. Books are one of my greatest passions because there you can study society at another level which, in many occasions, supersede reality. On the other hand, books deal with trauma and grief, with how to live in the world managing different kinds of losses, wants and needs. Books forced me to become aware of my journey and existence with all that being mindful and aware entails. This profound interest in healing societal and cultural traumas led me to work with hospice and to do some work as a grief support specialist. By day, I work as a language instructor at the university level. There I support my students in developing their critical thinking to reflect upon the world and on themselves. I also work with hospice as I develop my practice. On my free time, you will find me reading, singing my heart out on #Smule , crocheting, spending time with my family and friends or just trying something new. In my coaching practice, my main purpose is for clients to break through the obstacles that hold them back in life. With my unusual background, my extensive readings and intellectual preparation, my knowledge, my life experiences, and my training, I bring lots of resources and ideas to the coaching experience that I provide. By asking the right questions and empowering you with the proper tools and techniques, I will support you to take action in the pursuit of your goals. Life is too short to be unhappy or unfulfilled. I cannot wait to support your evolution!

My conversations with Laura gave me the courage to quit my job (one that I was not incredibly enthusiastic about) to return to the field Im sure I was born to work in. Realizing it was time for me to take a risk was frightening at first, but she believed in me and cheered me on as needed. Her enthusiasm was contagious; and when I doubted myself, she knew just what I needed to hear in order to continue moving forward. >>>>Or here is some of the guest blog post info: So we started. And in our first session, I felt I was all over the place. Revelations and ah-ha moments popping off like fireworks. She listened and coached and asked questions and I was a mix of faith and excitement and sheer joy! And then she did what she's always done that has impressed me and she asked me a question that seemed completely out of left field but which, of course, turned out to be completely related when she asked me about my "relationship with stress". I got quiet. And was a bit stumped. When I hired her to coach me toward my passion, toward my purpose, I was thinking it was going to help guide me in clarity toward a particular role or job in education. To help me figure out a specific path toward (I hate to admit this but...) the "top". I wanted to know how I was going to get my money's worth from the several degrees I've added to the rungs of my educator belt. How I was going to make the biggest impact from a managerial and leadership role. How I was going to make bank and run stuff. It was a tough pill to swallow. And I had to admit it to myself - and to Laura - and then respond honestly. And when she asked me about my relationship with stress, I knew this was God giving me an opportunity to shift my thoughts from "my plans" to His will. And when I could admit these things to myself, I had an almost immediate shift in what I was willing to do and was able to humble myself and consider next steps that would keep stress at a minimum and allow us to still have some amazingly wonderful experiences.
I not only am board certified as a life coach, but have the additional experience of being a masters prepared nurse and educator.
In lifes journey, we are often uncertain where we stand, where we are going, and what is the right path for us personally. Knowing our True North enables us to follow the right path. Coaching is about helping others create positive change in their lives. Whether its in the workplace or in their personal life, coaching helps people get focused on personal goals such as relationships, time management, work-life balance, stress reduction, working through grief, life simplification, and career goals. I use a coaching model for all the work I do in personal life coaching, mediation, workplace relationship consulting and facilitating coaching circles. Each of us comes with the answers and coaching helps bring that out in a way that works best for each individual or work group. Coaching can be in person or by phone and sessions last anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes in a frequency that best suites the clients' schedule.
