Abilities Travel Club

Founded in 2017 by Felicia Clayborne in Milwaukee, Abilities Travel Club is more than just a travel planner and tour operator; we are a community-focused organization dedicated to empowering seniors and adults with disabilities. We specialize in creating inclusive, sensory-aware, and accessible travel experiences that turn every outing into an opportunity for growth. We provide professionally coordinated group and private travel services tailored for Generation X (born 1965–1987), seniors, and individuals with physical or developmental disabilities. Our services include: Accessible Group Tours: Well-designed itineraries to museums, festivals, sports events, and city tours with a focus on safety, dignity, and fun. Independent Living Skill Building: We use travel as a classroom. Travelers practice real-world skills such as navigating public transit, purchasing bus tickets, ordering from menus, and managing personal budgets. Community Integration & Social Events: Join our "Eat, Meet, & Greet" sessions at local Milwaukee favorites or attend empowerment conferences and advocacy events. Travel Planning & Support: We handle the logistics from coordinating accessible bus transportation to providing trained companions and medication reminders. Advocacy & Support Groups: We connect our members with important community resources and events like Disability Advocacy Day. Expert Leadership: Led by a statewide advocate with over 30 years of experience in the medical and clerical fields. Personalized Support: We offer tiered support levels (Independent, Assisted, or Full Support) to ensure every traveler feels safe and included. Local Roots: Proudly serving Milwaukee and the surrounding communities, helping neighbors explore the world one journey at a time.
