I met Becky in the summer of 2014 when I commissioned her to create and sew a custom gown for my wedding the following summer. Based on the ideas that were floating around in my head, she didn't just deliver; she full-on ROCKED it! My husband and I have been married nearly 3 years now and I still get compliments on my dress from people who were at my wedding or have seen the pictures! Since I lived only 20 minutes from her, I was able to go and get fitted in-person and see the progress of my dress. She also came to my wedding and helped me get into my dress. Becky will create you the wedding dress of your dreams no matter your size and what you want. And, more importantly, she will become your friend, like she has become mine! I'm a return-customer for life!
Dawn was super responsive and worked with my schedule to get the alternation done. She fixed my daughter’s prom dress zipper and did extra alternations (tacked down beading) without raising her price. I will surely use her again for any formal wear I need altered.
Great work! Very experienced and friendly. She has made winter hats for my kids, fixed zippers, repaired ripped items and made some great halloween costumes. I highly recommend Kerri for your sewing needs.
Mary was wonderful! I highly recommend that anyone interested in sewing at any level. We had a consultation phone call where she asked more about my goals, my current skill level, etc. and we set up our first lesson, which went over the basics of the machine. Then I had 3 more lessons built around making a dress pattern I had bought. She was super flexible. For example, she will help you make pretty much anything. I made a dress, but I know she teaches men and at least one person who makes stuffed animals. She had no problems modifying the pattern by adding zippers if I wanted to learn that. And because I only had the one week to take lessons during my vacation, she also was able to figure out how to use the lessons so that I could do the other half on my own time. This reduced the number of lessons, helped me learn on my own, and I had a finished dress at the end of 4 two-hour lessons! The other thing I will say is Mary gets straight down to business. She definitely chats with you, but one thing that I always noticed in other people's lessons is they will stop whatever they are doing if a topic comes up in small chat. That wastes time and the lessons are short. Mary gets that and any time you are not actively sewing is spent explaining the next step. She'll chat while you're putting in pins, sewing something, etc. Lastly, it's awesome that she comes to you. I wanted to learn on my machine and she doesn't mind the trip, which I'm sure is at least 45 mins for her. It just made the whole thing a no brainer for me and I will be calling again the next time I need help with a project!
Working with Kelly was great! She transformed my wedding dress into exactly what I wanted after I couldn't find the perfect dress! She showed her creative side & I have a one-of-a-kind dress for my day! My dress started out as a strapless with a corset back-Kelly built the back and straps as well as putting in a zipper and the fabulous buttons!
