We had Steve install a powder room in our basement in June of 2012. Framing, dry wall, door, tile floor, vanity, toilet, electrical, ceiling, exhaust fan, heater. From our first meeting, through the entire project, to completion, our experience could not have been better. Of the contractor's we had look at the job Steve was the only one who listened to what we wanted. He made suggestions and gave us options to think about but he listened and provided us with a bid for a project that was what we wanted. Steve was outstanding to work with, he communicated exactly what, when, why and how he was completing the work. He was on schedule, on budget, and extremely easy to work with. His work ethic, quality, and pride in his work shows in the finished project. He used a plumber, electrician a carpenter assistant, who are just as excellent as Steve. They have the same work ethic and pride that Steve has, communicate like Steve and are a pleasure to work with. Our finished project is excellent and exactly what we wanted. The entire process was no hassle. Steve handled all permits and details. He said it would be painless and it was. We have used Steve for another small project, had him inspect a home our daughter was buying and have recommended him highly to our friends. He is now bidding on some work at our daughter's new home. We believe that Steve is the best. Honest, friendly, does what he says he will do, when he says it will be done, with excellent quality. It is a treat to work with someone who is as good as Steve. It would not be possible for me give Steve a high enough recommendation. Work with Steve and you will not be sorry.

Working with Steve was an amazing, POSITIVE contrast to previous contractors we've had in the house. We gave him a "test drive," by asking him to install a couple of windows. When we experienced his workmanship and dependability, we then contracted him to patch up the drywall and install the kitchen cabinets we had already ordered from another company. Dependable: Steve came when he said he would---or called when he was running late. He also went above and beyond what was "required" of him to do his job. We didn't have a car big enough to bring one of our windows home, so Steve picked it up for us, and brought it home! Quality of workmanship: His work was outstanding. Steve paid attention to big AND small details (leveling each of the cabinet doors!); carefully followed--or improved upon--the cabinet plans; touched up the paint that was scuffed when cabinets were installed; and cleaned up after himself every day. With the drywall, he took the time to go over it two or three times, until the new part was seamless with the old. With the window trim, he made a custom stain that beautifully coordinates the window trim to the cabinets, and gave me extra for our future use. Knowledgeable: He knows the code, and chooses to go beyond the minimum. He moved one of our windows, and told us the minimum header was eight inches. He chose to put in an ten inch header. When the rough work was done by the other contractors (plumber and electrician), he pointed out a couple of things that weren't up to code, and said we should be sure these details were done before the rough inspection. He helped me save thousands of dollars by walking me through how to be my own general contractor---at no cost to us. From time to time, Steve would even call me to see how things were progressing, and let me know the "next step," to keep things moving. He pointed out ways he could have saved me money on the cabinets, if I had ordered through him. We're hoping to do an addition on the house in a couple of years. When we do, we'll be calling this guy again. Thanks, Steve, for your outstanding workmanship! I LOVE our kitchen! :)

We recently bought a house and had Steve install hardwood floor in living room and bed rooms. Steve estimated exactly how much hardwood we need and finished the job wonderfully. He was honest, kind, and professional. His crew was also as kind and professional as Steve. My wife and I were very pleased to work with him and his crew.

I have heard 'bounce is code'. Which means a floor may feel solid and be built to code but still moves as it is walked on. I have been in several of ABC's custom built homes and NEVER felt the floors flex. Even after they are 20 years old. It is great to know a well built home can be purchased from the guy who actually built it.
