- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
-most jobs are done with a set price via a written bid. -really small jobs will often be charged at an hourly rate of $38 -there is an $80 minimum -if any additional work is requested it can be charged separately or as an additional bid.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
-the first step is always a short phone conversation, typically followed by a sight survey, and a thorough discussion about the scope of the project. -I try to have all bid back to a customer within a week, however if additional planning is needed like cabinet design, architectural/building plans this can take much longer. -once we have a price and all materials are in, we are ready to start the job. -I do all jobs on a first come first serve basis trying to be mindful of the seasons (indoor in the winter, outdoor in the summer)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a dwelling contractors license, and in order to maintain this I must do regular continuing education in the field as well as have up to date workmen's comp and liability insurance.
