I lived and worked in France for a few years. Later in the U.S. I substitute taught French at the middle school and high school level. For a while I gave six-week French courses at UW-Parkside for the Continuing Education Department and tutored one-on-one for Wyzant. My French ability has been attested to by the F.B.I., the University of Paris, Wyzant, Emergent Media, Inc. of Chicago, and the Translation Studies Department of UW-Milwaukee.
It enables me to connect with people from other cultures who have not learned English.

He knows how to tackle individuals need. He his first session he figures out exactly where the help is needed and than in future lessons ardently work hard with the student to conquer the weaknesses and lead to success. I’ll rightly recommend Chez Danny.

Chez Denny is a very qualified instructor. You would never know he isn't a native French speaker. He uses a variety of resources to enhance the learning process during tutoring sessions, and gears the lessons toward the student's level.
Chez Denny's reply
Thanks for providing a review, Rachel. Looking forward to continuing to provide assistance.
Sincerely,

Dennis was good about answering people's questions, providing a variety of activities in class, such as conversation practice, and helping with pronunciation.
Chez Denny's reply
Thank you too, Karen, for coming to so many classes and participating so much!

The instructor knows French and has a passion for the language and the culture.
I would consider retaking the courses to improve my skills.
It would be helpful to me to use a VERB form chart to practice
the verb conjugation and practice (slowly) the verbs...perhaps
a verbs conjugation game with short sentences like
"I have an apple". She has an orange. I guess I would call them
"Dick and Jane"sentences. :)
Chez Denny's reply
Thanks for the helpful suggestions, Ruth. I'm so glad you were a part of my classes!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Translation: one dollar for every thirty words, including "a, an & the". Tutoring: generally $35 per hour.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Diplôme d'Études de Langue Française, Centre Chrétien d'Enseignement du Français, Albertville, France (Certificate in Practical French)
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Strictly speaking of French translation services, I first wanted to expand my French teaching via acquiring a master's degree. Then I learned that UW-Milwaukee was offering a concentration in French to English translation with their Master of Arts in Language, Literature, and Translation. It had an appeal to me as a viable career modification. I had done some translating and interpreting some fifteen to twenty years prior, but not as a vocation.
