FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Because each project is unique, I don't offer pricing without talking with the client about their specific needs. I prefer to charge per-project flat rates, with 50% due up front and the balance due upon receipt of the final invoice.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by discussing needs and an initial pricing estimate. If we decide to move forward, we will continue to define the project through calls and/or virtual conversations. Small projects are submitted in full, while some larger projects are submitted in phases.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After graduating from West Virginia University with a degree in English and minor in creative writing, a former classmate offered a gig writing a script for a TV commercial he was filming. Shortly thereafter, I started freelance proofreading/copyediting for a publishing entity at WVU. After moving to Memphis, I became a full-time copywriter at an ad agency, Inferno, and went on to freelance with agencies around the city and clients across the country.
