FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely! You cannot serve well if you are out of touch. You have to be relevant to the times. People also expect authenticity which means sharing who you really are with them. This comes through reading and educating yourself along with a strong prayer life.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As I stated earlier, I didn't decide. God chose me. In terms of marriages, there are many people who can preside but not as many that take the interest in, and put the effort into doing a good job of preparation and who have a genuine concern for the couple.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
As a minister I spend my time preaching, teaching, counseling, being with people in their joys and sorrows. I also write articles for the newspaper. I create new programs and research and teach new classes. I present workshops. I read to stay current with the trends. I, obviously perform marriages and preside over funerals. I also bless houses and pray with and for people. I am there when someone needs me.
