Introduction: I have been playing guitar for ten years, and been going to school to become a music teacher. I have been teaching guitar for two years. I know how to read music, guitar tabs, and have a great understanding of music theory. I am mainly a finger picker, but also know how to use a pick effectively.
I love the guitar and teaching it. It is what I want to do with my life. Being able to see a student fall in love with the guitar like I have; is a victory for me.

Kalvin taught me beginners lessons on a Fender Jazz bass. Kalvin gave me careful useful instructions in every facet of learning to play and patiently demonstrated technics to distinguish the various methods and styles of the notes and such. He provided many useful resources to assist in practicing. I highly recommend him.

Kalvin took on the role of teaching a 50 year old his first official guitar lessons. He was extremely patient and encouraging. He explained elements of music I was not familiar with and never lost patience as he worked with me. I would recommend him for any level but really appreciate his willingness to assist a beginner.
