Introduction: I began practicing yoga in 1996 and became certified to teach in 1998. Initially I studied at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, then went on to train with a Baron Baptiste style instructor and with Shiva Rea as well. I created my own hybrid style of yoga called Amazon yoga which I teach at two levels: One is a gentle style of yoga using mainly Kripalu principles with some restorative yoga included, and that is called Candlelight Yoga. The other is for experienced yoginis and yogis called Amazon Yoga Flow, which combines poses similar to those used by Baron Baptiste, with the less rigid and more freeflowing pace of a Shiva Rea class. I currently do private sessions at the Kirtland Park Sundial and in the homes or outdoor decks of private clients, by appointment only.
