Introduction: Four Directions Wellness is an integrative healing provider, based in Alexandria, VA and focused on connecting body, mind, emotions and spirit. Affiliated with the GW Center for Integrative Medicine, we collaborate with individuals to explore all aspects of their lives for healthier and more complete living. Our services complement the medical care provided by traditional healthcare practitioners with a wealth of other services - individual sessions, classes and consulting. Whether your health is impacted by stress, depression, lack of sleep, a chronic illness or simply a longing for something different in improving your mental and physical well being, we are your partner! After 30 years in healthcare services, I now realize that our health and healing is dependent on connecting our body, mind, emotions and spirit. The adoption of "whole person" healthcare has become my passion. Whether helping an individual on their own journey through their personalized plan or offering services through employer wellness plans, I am so honored to work one-on-one with individuals. I feel extremely blessed to have found Mara Benner and grateful to have the opportunity to work with her. I appreciate her approach of whole person healing. I look forward to each session where Mara uses a variety of healing techniques such as crystals, guided image, mediation, Reiki and Tarot cards to aid in my mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being and growth. Mara has done several Reiki and Chakra Healing sessions with me. Not only did the sessions improve my sense of well being emotionally, but physically, I felt a great deal better afterwards, too. Yes, there is standard pricing for all services. The costs are outlined on the Four Directions Wellness website.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Four Directions Wellness is focused on the "whole" of the person including body, mind, emotions and spirit. Therefore, the initial visit is dedicated time to fully discuss all four areas for the new client. From that initial visit, we work together on an individualized plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years in the healthcare field serving mainly in executive positions and focused in geronotology. My passion has always been on helping individuals through their own inner awareness. Over the past 10 years, I have focused on "whole person" trainings. I now have the following certifications including: Reiki Master; Integrative Reflexologist; Ordaination in Interfaith/Interspirituality; Shamanic Apprenticeship; Qigong and Certified Energy Medicine Practitioner. I am also currently in training for medical intution.
