Introduction: I have a Communications degree from American University and have been teaching writing and English grammar for over 12 years. I homeschooled my children and teach in several homeschool co-ops currently. I work with children from elementary through high school age. I also can help with college essays, applications, and resumes. For adults needing remedial writing, my teaching style works well. I use the Institute for Excellence in Writing program, an award-winning step-by-step program to teach you writing structure and style. I derive great satisfaction from seeing students improve their ability to communicate through the written word.

I am so happy to get to share how wonderful Krista Price has been for my daughter and her writing! Krista has been teaching my daughter writing and grammar for the past three years. She has a kind, dedicated, and effective way of teaching that has drawn out the best in my daughter. I see her love of writing and teaching and concern for her students, and she is readily available to answer questions and follow up with lessons. My daughter has gained confidence and practical ability in her writing as she has learned the skills that allow her to write all types of papers, plus she loves writing! With Krista's teaching, I know my daughter will be prepared for writing when she gets to high school and college.

Krista is upbeat, delightful. She has the tall task to respond to a 15 1/2 yr. son who needs to but is not that interested in learning to write well. She is also super organized and follows up with assignments. Her reviews of my son's school work has been very helpful.

$50/hour plus travel if outside my local area (at the same rate) $30/hour for online editing and grading
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have an initial 30-minute consultation which is free of charge to discuss goals, trouble areas, and needs. If we think we are a good fit for one another, we will proceed to set up regular meeting times.
