Introduction: Anyone with a camera can take a picture but it takes a true artist with a creative eye to be a great photographer. I love to capture candid moments and show true beauty in real moments. As a documentary filmmaker, I enjoy getting to know my clients and capturing real life. I enjoy capturing a couple's wedding day in stills or motion or spend time in a family's home, freezing ordinary moments in time into extraordinary art. Sarah at Picture Something Productions and her team were AMAZING as our wedding photographers. Sarah was very prompt and friendly in all of our communications and understood the look I was going for in my photos. One of the reasons I decided to book Picture Something Productions (beyond the amazing value you get for what you purchase) was the feeling I got when i viewed some of their previous events. Their photos feel more like an experience, like you know how everyone felt in that moment that was captured, as opposed to just looking at photograph. I also selected Picture Something because they exceed in capturing candids moments. While of course I knew I wanted some posed photos from my weddings, I wanted the focus to be on the true moments that occurred on our wedding day. Sarah completely understood what I was looking for. On our wedding day, the team was present and helpful but never underfoot. From what I have seen, they captured everything beautifully, I cannot wait to get the rest of my photos back. Sarah was wonderful during my photo session! I'm super awkward when I get my picture taken, and Sarah made the session super comfortable. She responds really well to people's needs and concerns, and is able to capture the perfect picture. Can't wait to work with her again!!

Sarah did a fantastic job capturing the images I desired in our last Christmas at our families "first" home. While we grew out of the house we lived for eight years and are in a new home, I will be able to always remember what it was like to raise babies in that house - just by looking through my pictures! What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I consult with the client by email or over the phone. In-person meetings occur with clients who are getting married. I shoot primarily on location with natural lighting. I love to incorporate nature and I love having a theme for a photo shoot.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Associates Degree in Photography from Saddleback College 2010. Bachelors in Fine Arts in Television and Broadcast Journalism - Documentary Filmmaking from Chapman University 2016. I have worked for various photographers as a production assistant and assistant shooter since 2008.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am fond of doing day-in-the-life photography for my clients at their home. Real life is beautiful and chaotic and messy and I enjoy capturing ordinary moments and making them lasting memories.
