I can't say enough good things about the crew that moved me. I'm single and don't have "help you move-level" friends yet in the city, so I was completely on my own for one of most unpleasant moments in the human experience: moving. To make matters worse, my boyfriend dumped me a week earlier just so he wouldn't have to help me. Not relevant here, but I appreciated the guys' sympathy on this point. :) Back to the move/movers: I had an obscene amount of stuff because I fix up old furniture and sell it as a hobby, so my 1-bedroom had enough crap to fill a small house. The guys were quite surprised: "ALL of this is coming?" But they took it in stride, stressing they were fine with it and just wanted to set realistic expectations for me of how long it would take - very professional and appreciated. For example: "We just want to make sure you get everything you need to the new place and nothing gets left behind" ... "We're here to take care of whatever you need." These kind of statements sounded and felt genuine and were a sharp contrast to ever other moving crew I've ever hired. That's saying a lot: in the past decade I've moved from: Seattle to Utah to Arizona to Las Vegas to Reno to Anaheim to Long Beach ... To say the least, I have hired a lot of moving crews, and this was, hands down, the best I've ever seen. Typically, as the day wears on, movers start to roll their eyes and bargain their way out of making that last trip or getting the last few straggling items - and in the past I've wound up doing a frantic second day of moving all by myself because the "other guys" flaked out and guilt-tripped me toward the end. Not so with Moving Packing . These guys never showed a sign of being tired; they were up-beat and willing to do whatever I needed without complaining - even sorting out heavy stuff that wasn't coming to my new apartment and then carrying that crap to the lobby where my super let me leave it behind in a corner. They are also masters at loading a van - a truly underappreciated art. Any other moving company would probably have had to do at least three trips with my stuff. These guys did it in two because they loaded that sucker like it was the ultimate game of 3D Tetris. In the end it took five hours, and I can't stress how much care and caution they took with my stuff. Not once - ONCE - were any of these dudes standing around. They were all constantly working, unlike most other movers, which made me feel even more like I was getting my money's worth. They also helped me disassemble a few items (not the norm) I couldn't do on my own and stuck around long enough in the new place to make sure the large items I couldn't rearrange on my own were in the right spot. If you're single in the city, you know how huge a help that kind of thing is. Best of all, these guys are just nice, funny, cool, smart people. They gave me a solid book recommendation and we had a lively conversation about the real history of the Confederacy. I would be friends with any one of these dudes, which set me at ease throughout the entire moving process. The tremendous peace of mind - and laughs - made the cost of hiring REAL PROFESSIONALS completely worth it. I'm never going to Craigslist for movers again. Moving Packing Group for life, dude. These guys rock. If you're trying to choose a mover in Orange County area, look no further.

Once moving day and movers arrived they moved all of my things from a 3 story townhouse to a 2 story single family home. They even fixed and put together correctly the dining room table my last movers took apart and damaged. They even complied graciously and professionally with my request, to switch bedroom furniture from an upstairs bedroom to a downstairs bedroom after they had already set everything up. Everyone I talked with and worked with at Moving Packing Group made my move very easy and stress free. The guys who actually did the moving were fantastic and took great care of my things. They definately went above and beyond the call of duty to help me. I would highly recommend this moving company to everyone!

I did a move from Long Beach to Newport Beach using Moving Packing Group. We had our apartment mostly boxed and I had budgeted a set amount I expected it to be. They turned up on time, packed everything faster than I expected by a lot, unloaded just as fast while being careful not to dirty the carpet more than they had to and came in under budget. I was very happy with the job and gave a higher than average tip, but most of all will use them again the next time we move. As a side note one of the 3 man crew wasn't able to make it but they pro rated the time to be at the two man crew rate. Very professional and impressed me greatly. As a side note I was referred Moving Packing Group movers by our previous apartment complex manager Kendra, who told me that they were one of the recommended movers for our complex and they did a fantastic job.

Used Moving Packing Group last week for a move from Anaheim to Newport Coast . Can't say enough good things about Al and his team. The whole process was seamless from start to finish. He arrived on time, moved us faster than the original estimate, was careful with all our belongings and furniture, and the team was courteous and professional. Not a scratch or ding on anything. So much cheaper than other places I'd been quoted. Friends recommended them and I'm so glad that I went with them.
