Ms. Ginn tutored my son in math. She did a very good job. My son retained the information and better understood the concepts. She was flexible with our schedule as well. I would use her as a tutor again.

Mrs. Ginn was the best tutor my children have ever had. She gave them confidence and was responsible for their positive attitude about math again. She gave them the skills they needed to succeed.

Mrs. Ginn has tutored our son for both Geometry and Algebra II. She is patient and explains things concisely. My son likes that the tutoring session consists of a healthy dialogue between the two of them and is not just a "I teach and you listen" session. In addition to helping to prepare for test and quizzes, when necessary, Mrs. Ginn helps step by step with homework. She has been a great confidence booster for my son in math and we look forward to continuing to work with her.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Hourly charges vary depending on the needs of the client. Clients requiring my travel may be charged an additional fee.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I hold a bachelor's and master's degree from The University of Connecticut. I taught at the upper-elementary level for 8 years before going off on my own as an independent business owner. Throughout the 10+ years I've been an educator, I've worked with students of all ages. My passion is working with students in the middle grades needing assistance with algebra and geometry coursework.

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

It is a great idea to check professional references to be sure you are getting what you bargained for. My resume and references are always available to clients upon request.
