Introduction: Jeremy has over two decades of experience teaching guitar and specializes in teaching classical guitar using the Suzuki method as well as traditional approaches. His instruction is individually tailored to meet the goals and needs of each student. Jeremy believes that one does not have to give up fun in pursuit of proper technique and good tone, rather these contribute to the joy of making music. I enjoy the bond that sharing music creates. Jeremy is a great suzuki teacher. He introduced my two young boys at the age 5 to classical guitar with patience, kindness and positivity. In the past 4 years, I've seen my boys advance and progress with great technique and skill due to his tutelage.

Our son started Suzuki guitar lessons with Jeremy when he was five years old and studied with him for four years. Throughout that time Jeremy was good at advancing our son's skills and knowledge without overwhelming him. Jeremy has an easy-going approach but makes sure that students are learning the proper technique and are prepared for performances. Jeremy makes learning to play guitar an enjoyable experience and we credit his style to keeping our son interested in learning and playing.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a family discount. A discount of 20% per month will be applied for each additional family member taking private instruction; the first student pays in full.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Students receive their first lesson for free. This allows us to see if we are a good fit without any obligation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education includes receiving a Master of Music degree in performance from Northwestern University, a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and an Associates of Fine Arts in performance from Brevard College. In addition I have received teacher training in the Suzuki Method through book 6.
