Introduction: I am a 300hr certified yoga teacher, a Reiki practitioner, and a state-licensed independent social worker.
I currently work in private practice, specializing in areas of anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, trauma, grief and loss, and in the use of EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing).
I am also interested in the incorporation of yoga in psychotherapy treatment.
Working in the field of mental health for almost 15 years, I realize the importance of treating mental, emotional, and physical health for true healing and wellness.

I took a restorative yoga class and at first I was skeptical. I usually like high intensity workouts but a friend talked me into it and I'm glad she did. Those poses and the silence have a calming, floating effect and it is an experience that's more than just relaxing, it's healing. I highly recommend giving it a try.

JoAnna has a wide range of techniques to assist in the healing process, which can be very individualized. She is very knowledgeable about the mind/body connections and takes her time to explain the various energy blocks and shifts that occur within the body and teaches you different ways to continue to work on areas that need improvement to allow continued healing between sessions. She is committed and dedicated to her practice of healing and restoration.
