FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm a no fee agency for most trip planning. The exception is large parties and destination weddings. I charge a small fee for those that I will refund if the client books their services through me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
If possible, I like to have a phone conversation. That just gives me a good idea of what they like and a sense of them as a person and not just as a client. Then I want to move our communication to email. I do this so I can keep all of the details in one place. I work with a lot of different people, so making sure everything is perfectly taken care of is important to me.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a lot of degrees and formal education, none of them specifically for travel, but all of them related to travel. History, art history, geography, literature, all of them made me want to travel and learn about other places. I also do a lot of ongoing training from the various vendors and cruise lines I work with.
